Betsy Carmichael had it all. A wonderful marriage to the love of her life and three beautiful children. The couple built and ran a very successful investment firm. 

Betsy's life was picture perfect.

We’re told that life is very short and everything can be taken away from us in the blink of an eye. Of course, no one ever believes that could ever happen to them.

Sadly, that is what happened to Betsy.

Her life was ripped away from her with the death of her beloved husband.

Betsy retreats into her work and family. She refuses to date. She is too heartbroken to start again.

She is brought back to life when she meets Shepard Stewart.

Handsome, debonair and interesting, he is almost too good to be true.

He is Betsy's Prince Charming. She takes a chance and lets Shepard into her much guarded heart.

It is the worst decision she could ever make. 

You see, Shepard Stewart is a predator.

And the trusting, unsuspecting Betsy, is his prey.

Shepard functions at a level of narcissism and deceit that is off the charts.

He lives a double life. He skillfully plays the ideal man while they are dating.

She never suspects one iota of the violent and ugly life he leads behind her back. He woos Betsy until he wins her over. On their wedding day, Betsy finally meets the real Shepard. From that day forward,  Betsy is on a downward spiral. 

She gets tangled up in a dangerous whirlwind of lies. She has no idea of the carnage Shepard is capable of committing.

Nothing is off limits for Shepard, including murder.  One day Betsy reaches her breaking point. She finds herself at war with Shepard.

The question is not who started this war; the question is who will win it and how?
